I just started a file of this… can I really finish it before the release of XIII-2? Haha we shall see since it’s only the beginning of the quarter.

The battles aren’t painfully slow as IV’s and are certainly not as difficult as III’s. I keep forgetting that these games come before the time that Save Points automatically restored your HP/MP and unlike XIII/XIII-2, you cannot “retry” battles… meaning that if you didn’t save, you probably fucked up. Haha

Story wise, this is one of the best FF has to offer and is a favorite to many over VII, especially the fans that have been playing before the PS1 generation. It also has many memorable characters and music. We’ll see how that goes, I mean this is on that SNES/GBA sound shit.

Terra, the main character is a female! Personally, I prefer the female protagonists over the dudes, mainly because the guys are just so emo and somewhat pathetic. I feel like the only male protagonists that I like are Tidus and probably Bartz from V. The villain of this game is Kefka, one of the most bad ass of all the villains of FF, or so I’ve heard.

Couldn’t pass up reblogging this. I have played and completed this game, I kid you not, a total of 10-12 times. It was the first FF game I had ever been exposed to, and it is by far my favorite game of all time. Playing this, you found something to love about not only one, but all the characters because this game was made so that almost everyone played an important role and you gained a deeper understanding of each individual’s story. The plot, the game play, the music, everything about it just takes me back to a happier time.
